Sisal is one of our most popular ranges, due to its
natural strength and distinct weaves. This hard wearing flooring
is recommended throughout the home. Relaxed and warm weaves enhance
bedroom and living areas, whilst tighter weaves lend themselves
perfectly to halls and stairways.
The plant Agave Sisalana is grown in East Africa
and Brazil and is traditionally used for making ropes. The pulpy
leaves are crushed, washed, dried and graded to extract the fibres
and spun into yarn. This yarn is then used to create an array of
weaves and one of our most diverse ranges.

Seagrass was one of the earliest ranges available and remains a
firm favourite. The Seagrass fibre is harder than the fibres in
our other ranges, making the weave patterns more distinctive. You
will feel as though your room has become more spacious, with the
reflective qualities further enhancing this allusion of space.
Seagrass is grown in the paddy fields of China. These fields are
seasonally flooded with seawater, before being harvested, dried
and spun into this strong yarn. This inherently waxy fibre is water
and stain resistant, but due to this is difficult to dye. We love
the natural tones of the actual plant, with the Fine Seagrass being
slightly greener as it is harvested earlier.

The Coir fibre derives from the coconut and is
a distinctly course textile, which compliments soft interior furnishings.
Its outstanding durability and texture make it the superior choice
for halls, stairways and other areas of high usage.
The husk from the coconut is removed, then softened
in the sea water and pounded with stone to remove the woody portion.
The remaining course fibres are combed and dried, before being weaved
into the Coir yarn.
